Mother’s Day is almost here – there’s less than 2 weeks to go.

What thoughts does this provoke for you? Leisurely breakfast in bed? The relaxed, well-considered lunch outing? A bunch of chrysanthemums, a beautifully wrapped box or three? Or something else entirely.

The truth is, Mother’s Day is different for all of us. There’s the good, bad and downright ugly.

We know this because we’ve spoken to lots of people this year, asking them ‘what does mother’s day mean to you?” Inspired by the myriad of wonderful responses; so real, often raw and always honest, we’ve created ‘Mother’s Day Uncut’, a series of posts on Facebook and Instagram with quotes about this day.

From the 1st May through to the day itself (13th May) we’ll be bringing the best of these stories to life on Facebook and Instagram, a bit like this one below.
