Please join THE SWIM PROJECT for their LAUNCH PARTY on Saturday 2nd March, 2019 from 10.15am hosted by Jacqueline Wong, Founder of The Swim Project.
The Swim Project empowers, educates and supports young adults from multi-cultural backgrounds to learn a valuable, non-negotiable life skill. The Swim Project aims to build community through swimming by bringing together both experienced swimmers and learners in a safe environment and raising awareness on water safety. It is as much about what we do out of the water as it is in the water.
They are beyond excited to have an INCREDIBLE guest speaker, Australian Paralympic Swimmer Matthew Levy, from Sydney to speak at this event! This is a unique opportunity to hear Matt’s inspirational journey to becoming a World Champion.
Matthew Levy Bio
Born 15 weeks premature with Cerebral Palsy and vision impairment, Matt has survived 46 operations. Swimming was initially encouraged by his parents for health and fitness and became his passion.
His swimming career and personal achievements are nothing short of outstanding: seven-time Paralympic medallist, world record holder, Order of Australia Medal recipient, Little Treasures charity and Australia day ambassador to name a few.
Displaying a humble spirit on both the swimming and speaking platforms, Matt proves what an individual can achieve through determination, hard work and a growth mindset. Matt has previously been invited as the keynote speaker at prestigious events such as the University of Queensland MBA Careers Week, Westpac Graduate Development Program and the Australian Finance Industry Association’s event on working capital.
