Drink even more responsibly – as Australia’s first social enterprise beer company, they give at least 50% of profits to their charity partners.
Good Beer Co’s inaugural brew, the aptly named Great Barrier Beer, helps raise funds for the Australian Marine Conservation Society and profiles their work to protect our national icon: the unique, vibrant and at-risk Great Barrier Reef.
Founded by James Grugeon, the company works with Australian craft brewers to create quality beers which are sold to raise money for important social and environmental causes. As well as raising funds for charity, the company is an example of how the beer industry can minimise impact on the environment by using water and energy efficiently and brewing sustainably.
With plans to support other charity partners as voted for by their drinkers, we can’t wait to see what James and the brewers will be pouring next.
