The little shop helping stop human trafficking
Good things to buy
For Dignity hosts an online store retailing high quality contemporary fashion accessories, homewares and gifts which include sustainable/eco friendly and fair trade products. Our range is primarily made by people at risk or rescued from trafficking and slavery. This provides them with a source of economic empowerment and dignity.
Good things we do
As a member of the Freedom Business Alliance, we have nurtured strong partnerships with multiple organisations that are active in the prevention, rescue and restoration of affected people. Our ethical products reflect the empowerment and artisan skills of these people. These sales provide life-giving income for them and provision of outreach and restorative programs.
Our range features recycled products, GOTS certified organic cotton, some of which is fair trade certified and a business commitment to reduce our carbon footprint.
We also have a tailored event program, Together for Dignity, to raise awareness of trafficking through redirecting purchasing power to ethical and sustainable choices.
For Dignity began in 2016 by Dr. Heather Rayside, after returning to her home town of Melbourne from almost 8 years working in Vietnam. Passionate to drive change among the exploited and marginalised, she developed a way to embed the Australian consumer within the solution, through shifting their consumer choices.
