Bags and accessories that stand out for all the right reasons

Conscious Choice Culture is a collective of micro-social entrepreneurs. Their artisans provide support to other artisans, the environment and the wider community. Their gorgeous range of products includes up-cycled jewellery, Christmas decorations and handmade recycled bags.

Founder Kelly Perkins is passionate about human rights  and eradicating poverty. She works to empower artisans to realise their dreams of self-sufficiency. She established Conscious Choice Culture to bridge the gap between artisans and the marketplace, giving them the opportunity to share their products.

Their eclectic range of handmade recycled bags are hard to overlook, sure to be a stand out from the crowd. They use recycled cement, rice bags and a fair bit of creativity to produce their bags. These inputs, after careful design and handiwork, transform into purses, laptop bags, iPad cases, duffel bags, shoulder bags, pencil cases and more.

The makers of these bags are often farmers experiencing poverty in Cambodia. They have few employment opportunities and little or no formal education. The fair income they receive from making these bags empowers them to support themselves, their families and the community.

Conscious Choice Culture also donates 50% of the profit from all sales to social projects. They’re currently building a school in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where they also sponsoring a teacher’s annual salary.
