Streetwear with a conscience
Good things to buy
Cagey’s Planet is an ethical streetwear label where people can be assured all products are sweatshop free, child labour free and forced labour free. All workers who make our clothes receive fair work conditions and fair pay. Our range is also WRAP Certified (World Responsible Accredited Production) and PETA approved. We currently stock shirts, hats, bags, socks and hoodies.
Good things we do
Other than being an ethical clothing label, Cagey’s Planet donates part of the profits back to various charities. Over the years Cagey’s Planet has donated over $2000 to various organisations including the Black Dog Institute, Switchboard and Minus 18. During the marriage equality campaign, 50% of the profits went to supporting a LGBTI youth phone counselling service. Cagey’s Planet has also planted 31 native trees on behalf of Greenfleet Australia. The streetwear brand from Melbourne is also a slow fashion label with limited runs, focusing on quality rather than quantity.
Cagey’s Planet was founded in 2016 by Carolyn Cage after raising money for a friend’s surgery. After the success of raising $1000 and being able to raise awareness around ethical clothing, it slowly turned into a business that was able to help with other causes. In all, we strive to raise awareness on different issues relating to ethical and social responsibility and we implement these ideals when it comes to sourcing clothes, mental health, the environment and LGBTI issues.
